Minchinhampton versus Frocester – Under 11 League:
Report from Chris Hartley
There was a high-energy start to the batting from openers, Hartley and Hardaker who worked well together, put in some great running and recorded an opening partnership of 31 runs. Payne and Daniell kept the momentum going, but despite some boundaries from Cowan and Sharpe, Frocester’s bowling attack was proving to be mightily impressive and the wickets began to tumble. Despite a late flourish from Dangerfield and Johnson, this would be Frocester’s day, as they won by 45 runs; with a final score of 199-154.
Despite tasting defeat for the first time this season, there were many positives to be taken from a strong all-round team performance and if Minch can retain their form and excellent team-spirit, it won’t be long before they’re back to winning ways.
